Crime Analysis
Posted Febuary 27, 2015
Hello everyone,
The Sheriff’s Department Crime Intelligence & Analysis (CIA) Unit has put together a map of January 2015 Crimes in Yorba Linda. In the legend at the bottom, you will see how many times that particular crime occurred during the month of January.
Please note that this map does not show the exact location of each crime, nor does it contain any specific details about the incidents. Also, only crimes that were reported to law enforcement are included in these statistics. If you would like to see more information about recent calls for service in the City, you can follow the Blotter on the OCSD website.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Neighborhood Watch Reboot Meeting
Posted November 3rd, 2014
Dear Rancho Dominguez Neighbors,
The new Yorba Linda Neighborhood Watch Coordinator for the Orange County Sheriff's Department is holding a "Reboot" Meeting for Block Captains. Her name is Cristina Dehnadi, and her email is cdehnadi@ocsd.org. The meeting will be on Thursday, November 20th from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Yorba Linda Community Center in the Game Room. The Community Center is located at 4501 Casa Loma Ave.
Our Rancho Dominguez Neighborhoods presently have four Block Captains - Via Marcos (Maureen Pascale), Via Alvarado (Kent Ebinger), Via Noriega (Lorraine Sidler)
and Via Bernardo (Paul Swiontek). If you reside on any street not mentioned in our Rancho Dominguez Community, and would like to serve as Block Captain for the Neighborhood Watch Program, please notify Cristina at cdehnadi@ocsd.org or call (714) 779-7098, Extension 108.
The Neighborhood Watch Program gives us the opportunity to stay connected with each other and keep our neighborhoods safe.
If you are interested in becoming a Block Captain, but are unable to attend the "Reboot" meeting, please let me know.
Sincerely,

Moutain Lion Spotted
Posted September 24th, 2014
Hi Everyone,
Reports of a Mountain Lion behind the slopes of Via Bernardo Circle, by Travis Ranch Youth Park. It was spotted twice today on the slope and once last week. The Sheriff's Department was notified and they said they would pass it on to Fish and Game. Gary Bushman said it is larger than his Golden Retriever. Keep a close eye on your cats and dogs, and your children. If anyone spots it again, please let everyone know.
